Quinta da Bela Vista is the first five-star "Quinta" to host guests in Madeira Island. This "manor house" dated from 1844, transformed into an exclusive hotel  in 1989 where peace and tranquillity reign. First with 40 rooms and expanded to 67 rooms in 1991. Was completely renovated in 2001 to 89 rooms including 6 suites.

The group belonging to the family Ornelas Monteiro was founded in 1989, and the group management is led by Gonçalo de Ornelas Monteiro, who is also the manager of Quinta da Bela Vista.

In 1995 the group acquired the Hotel Porto Santo & Spa 4 star hotel on the island of Porto Santo.

The group has various investments in tourism, which includes the boat trip "Gavião" Madeira.
